South Dakota Dems Select Gay Delegate

Martin Yeung, Equality South Dakota PAC Board member, was selected Obama At-Large Delegate at the South Dakota Democratic Party convention in Oacoma on June 28th and will represent the LGBT community. Martin will attend the Democratic National Convention in Denver in August.

Martin's selection meets a new provision in the Democratic National Committee's 2008 Rules requiring State Parties to adopt and implement inclusion programs for LGBT Americans and persons with disability to achieve the full participation of these groups in the delegate selection process.
