It may be the first time in history someone has run want-ads for a political candidate. Beginning Sunday, one of South Dakota’s five largest political action committees is running want ads for Republicans willing to mount a primary challenge in legislative elections. The ad’s headline reads:

Types of Support
Equality South Dakota Political Action Committee (EqSD PAC) will seek to make financial and in-kind contributions to a select pool of candidates in each election cycle. The EqSD PAC Board of Directors will select endorsements and direct a total level of support, determining the best use of resources.
In-kind contributions from EqSD PAC include:
- Campaign management training
- Campaign strategy assistance
- Campaign management assistance
- Campaign volunteers
Via its website, EqSD PAC will provide prominent display of endorsed candidates. Hot links to individual campaigns provide opportunities to capture donations and volunteers.
NOTE: EqSD PAC is a registered South Dakota political action committee. EqSD PAC is legally restricted from making endorsements in the races for United States Senate, United States Congress, or President of the United States.
